Sunshine Blogger Award

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award? The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are inspiring and bring sunshine into the lives of their readers and fellow bloggers. It is such an honor to receive! A HUGE thank you to Eve over at Eve Messenger’s Other-Word-Ly Endeavors! I have to say I’m not surprised at all that Eve was nominated because she is so active in the blogging community. She always has engaging and kind comments to add to any blog post!

The Rules:

  • Answer the 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
  • Nominate some wonderful bloggers and write 11 questions for them to answer

Eve’s Questions:

  • What are three things that make you laugh?
My dog’s derpy face, my husband thinking I can’t hear his farts as long as I can’t see him (e.g. being in a different room), and Bob’s Burgers.

  • What’s your favorite daydream?
Anything to do with acquiring baby animals.

  • Would you rather have the power to shapeshift or to make yourself invisible?
I almost jumped the gun and said shapeshift, but I think I have to go with invisibility. And I can shamelessly say that I would milk it to break the law by like sneaking into movie theaters and whatnot. I mean the price of movie tickets is a crime in itself!

  • What’s one of your favorite stupid pun jokes? (Example: “Why did Adele cross the road? To say hello from the other side.”)
    I’ll just leave this here…

  • Do you like stickers?
The child in me screams, “YES,” but the grouchy old lady in me hollers, “HELL NO.” They’re fun in theory, but so difficult to clean off things!

  • What’s your favorite social media and why?
Probably reddit because you can subscribe to all the different topics you like, it’s a gold mine of humor, and I like to read all the snarky comments.

  • Do you sleep with the light on or off?
Off, although  I could sleep through just about anything: lights, earthquakes, ridiculously loud MEOWs.

  • If you performed in a talent show, what would your talent be?
Either reciting meaningless, but humorous quotes from TV shows or maybe rapping.

  • Have you ever handwritten a letter? If yes, to whom did you mail it and when?
What a great question! I bet the last letter I wrote was to Santa! Or maybe as an assignment in school.

  • What’s your favorite thing to do with friends?
Grab some coffee and check out a book store. We are bad influences on each other when it comes to hoarding books.

  • Big or small, what’s something you’ve done that you’re really proud of?
I graduated from college! I was a first generation student and there were some really challenging times, but I’m so proud of myself for sticking it out and working hard to achieve my goals.

My  nominations:

I love reading posts from all of these blogs! They’re full of humor and reading insight.

My questions:

  1. What are three things that make you laugh?
  2. Do you have tattoos or would you ever get one? If so, a tattoo of what?
  3. What is your dream job? Pretend that money doesn’t matter.
  4. What money saving tip do you live by?
  5. Your SO or friend asks where you want to go to eat. Do you have a long, “I don’t care, but not here, here, or there,” conversation or are you quick to choose?
  6. If you had to describe your life using a musical, which musical would you choose? (e.g. My life is best described by The Sound of Music.)
  7. What do you like to use as a bookmark or what’s your favorite bookmark?
  8. Panera Bread or Starbucks?
  9. What has been your best ever Halloween costume?
  10. Would people describe you as more creative or logical?
  11. What would “The Perfect Day” look like for you?

I love reading everyone’s responses to these questions and frankly, my readers are a big part what brings the sunshine to my blog. SO…bibliophiles, feel free to answer some of these questions below in the comments!

Until next time, bibliophiles …

      1. Haha, yep, me too, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Our pretty orange and white kitty, who as born on St. Patrick’s Day, was originally named “Patrick,” but he quickly earned the name he goes by today: Trouble.
